Date Kouji & Takuya - requested by [info]moonrainty [Wednesday 9.8.06 @ 6:49am]
I finally moved my lazy self and made a new layout, this time featuring Date Kouji and Takuya (Rock'n'Jam II).
Since it's a requested one, it's for [info]moonrainty only (unless she allows other people to use it but there's still her name in the header anyway).

( How to use )

It's the first S2 layout that I'm sharing by the way. I'm still new to coding S2 layouts but it is much easier than coding S1. At least a layout like this one is. As much as I know, paid account layouts have unlimited possibilities but I'm not that good at coding.
Well, this layout was a little tricky. Since narrow contents are annoying, I had to widen the header image a lot. I drew the rest of the wall by myself but you don't see much of it in the end. D: And it was also a pain to photoshop Takuya's pants/Date's head out of the little pictures (since they were right next to each other on the original photo).
But the layout is OK, isn't it? I like S2 layouts a lot. So I hope you like it. If there's something that you want me to change, just feel free to ask. ^^

Unexpectedly, I got disconnected from the internet for more than one month and I'm sorry that I couldn't respond to all the comments.
I got my connection back today, but it will still take a little bit until I can help you out because I need to finish some fanlistings first (before I lose them) and I need to make my layouts working for each pixel resolution (because atm, most of all are working with 1024 x 786 only).

Hisashiburi ne~ Gomen gomen...
Well, I finally made another layout! Thanks to the comments I received recently I got motivated pretty much and so I took my time to make this layout featuring Nagayama Takashi from *pnish*.
I spent a hole lot of time for this layout and I actually like the result, especially the colors. The cold weather is finally giving in and the sun shines in Germany! :D So I wanted to use some colours which fit to the season. The pictures of Nagayan that I used were taken in autumn though...xD But the colors are pretty much spring, aren't they?
I really hope someone will use this layout because I put a lot of effort into it! >_< Sometimes, coding LJ layouts is a pain...x_x

Editing Sidebars [Monday 27.3.06 @ 20:18pm]

Since I make a lot of layouts with sidebars I wrote this little tutorial about editing sidebars properly.

First things first: You have to know HTML! Your skills must not be award-winning but at least know text layout tags like <BR>, <a></a> and <img>. However, the more HTML you know the easier it is for you.

I try to code my overrides as organized as possible and also give hints between the /*SLASHES AND ASTERISKS*/ already so you can find the things easily.
In my overrides, you find the place where you can write your sidebar stuff after the GLOBAL_HEAD.
<=GLOBAL HEAD marks the end of the GLOBAL_HEAD.
Below that, you will usually find this hint /*SIDEBAR CONTENT*/.

A couple of tags are following and you'll find another hint: <!--YOUR SIDEBAR STUFF HERE | replace every yourname with your username and the links should be fine-->
Following to that hint a <div> tag.

You can write your sidebar stuff between this <div> tag, not outside!

LASTN_WEBSITE<= and <=LASTN_WEBSITE shows that everything between that is specified for the most recent view. FRIENDS_WEBSITE<= and <=FRIENDS_WEBSITE for the friends view and so on...

That means, you have to copy everything between those between the other _WEBSITE tags as well (mean 4 times).

I will update this tutorial if there are misunderstandings. If not, I'll leave it as it is. ;D

This time, I made a layout requested by [info]yaoi_brause and it features Aiba Hiroki, the new Fuji of the Tenimyus!
From now on, I'll put the rules under a cut but that doesn't mean you don't have to follow them.

I've become pretty productive, eh? Here comes another Tenimyu actor layout, this time featuring Araki Hirofumi as Inui Sadahara.

It mustn't be your own homepage, you can use another like http://www.livejournal.com as well. It doesn't even need to be an existing homepage, a dead link works as well.

2. If you want to use the layout, please leave a comment here or on the entry that linked this layout.
Commenting would be very nice because I put a lot of effort into my layouts and I want to know if and what you like or don't like. I will add you to the 'currently using' list so that users always have an in-time example. Please also comment when you stopped using this layout. If you don't want to be added to the list, it's OK, please tell me then.

3. Please credit [info]anbu_kyoko.
You can credit me for example in your user info or put it into the layout by yourself, too.

4. If you have a little bit of HTML experience, you can change the style (ccs) tags in the overrides as you please.

This layout was tested successfully with Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It's best viewed with 1024 x 786 px but it works with every other resolution as well. If something doesn't work with other browsers please tell me and I'll try to fix the problem.

Oi, I was a little lazy... I made a lot of new layouts but I didn't code them yet.
However, here goes another one, this time featuring Hyoutei's Shishido Ryou (Tennis no Oujisama) which I made for [info]pot_spotlight.

I tested them already and it actually works. With Mozilla Firefox/Microsoft Internet Explorer and a resolution of 1024 x 786 px at least. Just ask me if anything doesn't work.
I also altered the links to your journal pages already. The part where you can edit your sidebars looks like this now:

You have to edit the sidebar codes between LASTN_WEBSITE<= and <=LASTN_WEBSITE now and then copy the content between LASTN_WEBSITE<= and <=LASTN_WEBSITE into the gap between FRIENDS_WEBSITE<= and <=FRIENDS_WEBSITE, CALENDAR_WEBSITE<= and <=CALENDAR_WEBSITE, DAY_WEBSITE<= and <=DAY_WEBSITE to make your sidebar specifications appear on the friends, the calendar and the day pages as well.

These are the overrides. Since the overrides exceed the maximum characters count of a comment, I posted them in this post.



I removed the long fanlisting codes and typed some instructions for you.
Those overrides are generated for the Generator style not the Tabular Ident! However, I guess that they work very similar with the Tabular Ident style.
